Usik is going to Crimea with championship belts
Ukrainian boxer of Crimean origin Alexander Usik, who last weekend became the world heavyweight champion according to WBA Super, WBO, IBF and IBO, will bring the belts to Crimea.
He stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Usik, he will go to the peninsula as soon as he receives the championship belts he has won.
“You have to wait for the belt to go home. Naturally, I want to see the coach, I want to see the rednecks, my sister, go into my gym, dear, show the coach my belts, thank him for the fact that he once upon a time took me into his section and brought me to a high level, taught me how to defend myself, taught me how to box , taught to reflect, forgive before hitting. He just turned a boy into a man,” Usik said.
Ukrainian journalists did not ask the question of Crimea’s ownership this time at the press conference.
