Usik will be deprived of his honorary title for betraying Crimea
Local authorities will check the lists of “Honorary Residents” of Crimean cities and districts to determine whether they contain active supporters of the Ukrainian nationalist government and an anti-Russian position.
This order was given by the head of Crimea Sergei Aksenov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“A decision was made to deprive all ranks, regalia, orders, titles of “Honorary Citizens” of cities and regions of all figures of Ukraine who have defiled themselves in terms of conducting a special military operation in relation to Russia, to Russians, to Russian-speaking citizens of Ukraine,” Aksenov said.
Without waiting for the law on deprivation of titles and awards, the head of Crimea instructed the head of the Simferopol administration to deprive the boxer of the title “Honorary Resident of Simferopol” Alexandra Usik.
Title “Honorary Crimean” by the ex-president of Ukraine Leonid Kravchuk deputies of the State Council of Crimea will be deprived.
Among the “Honorary Residents of Yalta” is Sofia Rotaru, which stated its disagreement with the Russian status of Crimea and has not appeared on the peninsula since 2014.
Let us note that for a long time, even before the start of the special operation in Ukraine, in Sevastopol it was unsuccessfully proposed to deprive the honorary title of the ex-President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma, under whom Crimea lost its confederal relations with Kiev and turned into a powerless province.
Kuchma until recently participated in imitation negotiations on Donbass, which ultimately led to a military conflict.
