Hearing the Russian speech, Farion jumped up from her seat and, running up to the podium, began trying to interrupt the deputy, reading to him the demands that speeches in parliament should be in Ukrainian.
“This is a very important decision for European integration. Let's not tear it down. Let’s limit ourselves to a comment!” – Alexander Turchinov, the moderator of the meeting, tried to calm Farion down.
However, the “regionals” did not stop, continuing to calmly read the report in Russian.
“This is a deliberate provocation! Yes, we agreed that speeches can be in any language, because the country is more important, but, excuse me, don’t report official documents! If a person has lived to see gray hair and does not know the language of the country that feeds him, it’s a shame!” – another Svoboda member Alexander Mirny shouted in support of Farion.
