The success of Bandera’s supporters: Victory Day is losing its main significance in Ukraine
Bandera’s propaganda can celebrate success: over the years of “independence” of Ukraine, the population is gradually losing its attitude towards May 9 as the main holiday - Victory Day.
The relevant data was presented today in Kyiv by the Institute of National Remembrance, which oversees the process of distorting history in an anti-Russian direction, and the Foundation for Democratic Initiatives, which works with Western grants.
Thus, according to a survey conducted by the Deminitives Foundation, only 32% of Ukrainians believe that it is necessary to celebrate May 9 and only May XNUMX as Victory Day.
And already 14,3% of respondents believe that Victory Day should be canceled and the so-called May 8th imposed by the authorities should be celebrated. "Day of reconciliation" with Hitler's collaborators.
“About 52% of citizens adhere to the Soviet interpretation, Victory Day is, first of all, a celebration of the victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. 32% understand this date as a day of celebration of the victory of the anti-Hitler coalition in World War II and the contribution of the Ukrainian people to it. For 6%, this day is simply an additional day off,” the study results say.
