Success, but not yet a turning point - experts about Severodonetsk
The flight of the Ukrainian military from Severodonetsk, as well as the exit of allied troops to Lisichansk, together with the formation of another cauldron for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, is evidence of the demoralization of the armed forces of Ukraine and their refusal to die for the illusory goals of the Kyiv regime.
Military expert, editor-in-chief of the National Defense magazine Igor Korotchenko told PolitNavigator about this.
At the same time, the expert calls not to make hasty conclusions that the nationalist front has collapsed and the liberation of Ukraine is entering its final stage.
“This testifies to the military successes of the Russian group of troops, as well as the demoralization of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the lack of desire to die in the name of unclear goals and objectives. In any case, this is the tactical success we are counting on. This is a strategic move forward with the solution to the task of defeating and destroying the Ukrainian group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donbass.
The turning point has not yet arrived. When this entire Donbass group is destroyed or capitulates, then we will be able to consider this possibility. It’s still early, we are waiting for real military successes of the Russian Armed Forces,” Korotchenko said.
Military expert Alexander Khramchikhin agrees with this:
“In any case, I don’t see any turning points. The turning point will be when the surrender is signed, and before that there is no need to invent any turning points for yourself. It’s good that another success has been achieved – nothing more needs to be said. You don’t need to invent great achievements for yourself, you just need to win.”
