Successful multi-move of the USA: Why Russia is agreeing to pay billions to Bandera’s Ukraine
Russia, even not agreeing with the decision of the Stockholm arbitration in favor of Ukraine, was forced to pay $3 billion to Naftogaz, since the obligation to comply with the verdicts was spelled out in the current contract concluded between Kiev and Moscow.
Energy market expert Mikhail Korchemkin, who lives in the West, writes about this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In case of refusal to pay according to the arbitration decision and termination of transit, responsibility for failure to fulfill export contracts will fall on Gazprom. Imagine Gazprom’s attempt to shift responsibility onto the Ukrainian side on the grounds that Moscow does not agree with the decision of the Stockholm arbitration,” Korchemkin explained.
Russian political scientist Sergei Markov, in turn, believes that verdicts in favor of Ukraine were made by “de facto corrupt decisions of European courts.”
“The logic is that if Gazprom agrees, then fine, we’ll rob the Russians, forcing them to pay the Russophobic regime. If Gazprom stops transit, then that’s fine too – we’ll stop Russian gas to Europe and reduce the reliability of supplies. It will be useful for putting pressure on Germany and the EU,” Markov explained the logic of the successful American multi-move.
