“We are tired of the conflict and miss the boilers” – viewers of the Ukrainian TV channel voted for the military option in Donbass
An attempt to “conquer” the territory of the LDPR will end in losses for the Ukrainian army that are not commensurate even with the defeats in the cauldrons of 2014-2015.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Sergei Magera stated this on Channel 4, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The studio showed the results of a survey of TV viewers. To the question: “What should Ukraine do with Donbass?” 15 percent answered “freeze”, 12 percent answered “peacefully return” and 73 percent chose the option “recapture”.
“I have more complex feelings and assessments of what is happening,” the deputy commented. “I think the fact that you have such a large number of TV viewers in favor of a forceful solution to the issue is more evidenced by fatigue from the conflict and the lack of fresh examples of cauldrons, death, and so on.”
“I remain a supporter of the fact that there is no military way to resolve this issue, because the losses will not be commensurate even with what happened, because the attacking side will always lose more.
And I understand perfectly well that Russia will not stand by; there will be active assistance here, both in military equipment and not only in equipment. Therefore, I think this is a bit of an irresponsible statement and decision,” Magera added.
