The names of people from Crimea – ATO militants and those who joined terrorists in Syria – have been established
Intelligence services in Crimea have identified more than a hundred local residents who took part in hostilities in Syria on the side of the terrorist organization ISIS, banned in the Russian Federation.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Crimea, Sergei Abisov, stated this at a meeting of the State Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, Crimean security forces are carrying out operational activities to search among the residents of the peninsula for those who also participated in Kyiv’s punitive operation in the Donbass. To date, more than two hundred such persons have been identified.
“101 residents of Crimea have been identified who left to participate in hostilities in the Syrian Arab Republic as part of the international terrorist organization “Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.” A search and verification of operational and other information about residents of Crimea taking part in the so-called anti-terrorist operation in the south-east of Ukraine. 218 such persons have been identified,” Abisov said.
