Russia and the United States have approved the meeting place of Russian and American presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was stated by Putin’s assistant Yuri Ushakov following negotiations between the Russian President and US Presidential Advisor John Bolton, TASS reports.
“Before the meeting (Bolton and Putin - ed.), closed contacts were held, during which the parameters and possibility of such a meeting (Trump and Putin - ed.) were agreed upon,” Ushakov said.
According to him, “a very convenient place has been chosen for both us and the American side.”
“This is a third party,” the Kremlin representative clarified.
As Ushakov said, the summit will probably take several hours. The presidents are likely to meet in the middle of the day. There will be a one-on-one conversation and a joint press conference.
Details of the upcoming summit will be announced on Thursday, June 28.
Earlier, Politico reported that Helsinki could become the venue for a possible meeting between US leaders Donald Trump and Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
