President of the European Council Donald Tusk learned the Ukrainian language in secret from European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker.

Juncker himself stated this at the 17th Ukraine-EU summit.
Juncker also complained that he and Tusk never communicated face-to-face in Ukrainian.
“Mr. Tusk never speaks Ukrainian with me alone. And then, secretly from me, he learned the Ukrainian language and spoke several sentences in Ukrainian,” Juncker said.
