The reason for this was Solodko’s decision to be among the lawyers of the former leader of the Party of Regions faction, Alexander Efremov, who is currently undergoing political repression in Ukraine.

“My freelance assistant, a professional lawyer, one of the best criminal lawyers in the country, with whom I worked for 12 years, along with other lawyers agreed to defend Efremov. I could not convince Evgeny not to take this sin to heart and not to defend a person who, in my opinion, is a separatist and traitor. Evgeniy Solodko stopped being my assistant,” Sotnik said.
