The publication notes that Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, who previously sympathized with Hillary Clinton, unexpectedly changed his rhetoric and said that at these hours the whole world welcomes the election of Trump.
“At the same time, some diplomats and officials had to adjust their position literally on the fly, deleting posts from pages on social networks,” the newspaper points out. – This is what, in particular, the French Ambassador to the United States Gerard Araud did. Previously, there was a post on his page with the words: “After Brexit and these elections, everything is now possible. The world is collapsing before our eyes. Head is spinning". However, the recording then disappeared. Former US Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul behaved similarly. On Twitter, he first wrote: “Putin interfered in our elections and succeeded. Well done!” and then deleted the post.”
