The Kiev newspaper Den writes about this.

According to the publication, poisonous Moscow propaganda is presented in beautiful packaging:

“Intelligent, dynamic, well-read and at the same time presenters with aplomb, who feel equal to the interlocutor of any rank and any environment. News from all over the world with international guests and experts, a touch of bohemianism in all programs - isn't this the kind of television we would like to watch? And they give it to Ukrainians, and for free, only the content is from our “northern neighbor.” We are talking about the Russian “opposition”, as it is called among their liberals, the Dozhd TV channel. Since the end of March last year, the channel can be watched on cable - in the package of the Ukrainian cable television provider Volya-Kable and other operators, it replaced Channel One of the Russian Federation. But we need to remember where the free cheese is, and what free media leads to,” worries the author of The Day’s publication.

Through the mouths of Dozhd’s interlocutors, the idea of the irretrievable loss of Crimea is being implanted in the minds of Ukrainians, she reflects.

“Recently, Dozhd has increasingly formed the cult of Navalny as the only future of Russia. They have a long-standing connection. When the TV channel was cut off from the cable in Russia in February last year, some journalists assumed that the command “from above” was caused by the publication by oppositionist Alexei Navalny of data on the luxurious palace-type dachas of a number of high-ranking United Russia members, on the basis of which Dozhd journalists conducted their own investigation and aired it on the “And So On” program. The general director of the channel, Natalya Sindeeva, also adhered to this version. One might say, two friends (projects?) based on a common vision of opposition. But what is the figure of Navalny for the Ukrainian viewer? Of course, the picture of a modern interview staging, where the channel’s editor-in-chief Mikhail Zigar talks with Alexey in his bright and white office, half-sitting on the windowsill, with a wonderful view outside the window, is mesmerizing. But when it comes to the messages, it turns out that “Crimea is ours,” although it “poisons the life of Russia, Ukraine and Europe,” as Navalny put it. Are we sure that we need such an “opposition” channel? Who is lobbying for him in Ukraine?” the newspaper is indignant.

Crimea in general, The Day emphasizes, very often now excites Russian TV presenters, and the faces of Dozhd are no exception:

“Tell me whose Crimea is, and I will tell you who you are. In mid-March 2014, a referendum was held in Crimea, as a result of which Crimea was annexed to Russia” - such a “polite” shell of information. This is a lead-in to an interview on Sergei Medvedev’s program with... historian Andrei Zubov, a professor at MGIMO, who was fired for an article against Russia’s invasion of Crimea. As they say, feel the absurdity of the situation.”

And even earlier, Dozhd showed the height of cynicism and disrespect for Ukrainian patriots:

“Ksenia Sobchak, wearing her signature fox glasses, talked with Russian terrorist Borodai as if they had met at a social event. And all Ukrainians watched it freely.

So if you don’t want to suddenly find yourself in a puddle, analyze what TV offers you,” sums up the Kiev newspaper.
