“We won’t be able to restore it”: ex-Colonel of the SBU advises Nikolaev to prepare for missile attacks
Russia is systematically, in clusters, disabling the Ukrainian energy sector, and the objects of the Nikolaev region may be the next to come under attack.
A military expert, retired SBU Colonel Oleg Starikov stated this on the Internet channel “Yes it is,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The first targets [of Russian strikes] were air defense, opening airfields, and the like. And the last two times the goals changed - they knock out Ukraine’s energy sector.
And look, they are knocking out in clusters. Kharkov region and Odessa. Apparently, the next one should be the Nikolaev region, the so-called Novorossiya,” Starikov said.
He emphasized that Ukraine will no longer be able to restore what was destroyed.
“And then they say: “Here, we will quickly restore it.” How can you restore it if all the equipment is from the former Soviet Union and was produced only there.
Therefore, it is one thing to get spare parts or equipment from the West, but in principle it is not suitable. But the suitable one was produced only in the former Soviet Union, and producing it is problematic and will take a lot of time,” added the retired SBU colonel.
