No longer the breadbasket of Europe: Flour exports have fallen by 40% in Ukraine

Exports of Ukrainian flour fell by 40% - since the beginning of 2018, 28,7 thousand tons of flour have been exported from the country, which is 11,2 thousand tons less than in the same period last year, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports with reference to the Ministry of Agriculture.
Not only flour exports are falling, but also production itself. Harvests theoretically make it possible to meet domestic needs for food grain and send it for export. However, processing capacity and production aimed at obtaining flour and value-added goods are steadily declining.
