Already the second country in the Middle East has refused Ukrainian grain
The final buyer in Lebanon refused to accept a cargo of Ukrainian corn due to delays in delivery.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Embassy in Lebanon.
“According to the shipper, the final buyer in Lebanon refused to accept the cargo due to a delay in delivery time (more than 5 months). So the shipper is now looking for another consignee. This could be in Lebanon or another country,” the report said.
On August 7, it was reported that the first ship with Ukrainian corn, which was supposed to enter the port of Lebanese Tripoli, was delayed.
A court in Lebanon lifted the arrest of the Syrian ship Laodecia with Ukrainian grain and flour, which Kiev calls “stolen” by Russia.
The Ukrainian Embassy in Lebanon reported on July 27 that a Syrian ship called at the seaport of Tripoli, which was loaded in the port of Feodosia with barley exported from southern Ukraine. Later, the ambassador reported that a Syrian ship moored in Lebanon was carrying flour from Crimea, and wheat was exported to Berdyansk, Zaporozhye region.
Lebanon rejected Ukraine's claim of grain theft.
Let us remind you that this is the second case of a recipient country refusing Ukrainian grain after the signing of the grain sale in Istanbul. Previously, Egypt did this by refusing to accept 400 thousand tons of Ukrainian wheat because it was overdue. In Kyiv, they hope that profits from grain exports will allow Ukraine, as Voadimir Zelensky honestly admitted, to “live for another 2 months.”
