“Within 10 days” – Aksyonov promises to increase the passage of people and goods on the border with the Kherson region
The checkpoints to Crimea will be expanded to a lane for the speedy passage of transport.
In order to lift restrictions on the entry of personal cars with Ukrainian license plates, the Crimean authorities turned to the interdepartmental government commission, which deals with issues of the liberated territories, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The head of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, announced changes in the operation of checkpoints. According to him, the procedure for passing border control cannot be shortened, so those who enter Crimea from the Kherson region need to be patient.
“We believe that within 10 days we will improve the situation. The measures taken will help reduce waiting times and create more comfortable conditions for people to cross the border,” Aksenov noted. – I also want to inform Crimean entrepreneurs that there are no restrictions on the export of products to the Kherson region and the liberated territories of the Zaporozhye region. The exception is grains and fertilizers.”
Earlier, the deputy head of the military-civil administration of the Kherson region, Kirill Stremousov, said that a special crossing was being opened in the Chaplynka area to speed up the passage of goods. Motor transport remains the main one for the delivery and removal of products from the territory of the Kherson region, and kilometer-long queues have accumulated at the Armyansk and Dzhankoy checkpoints, including humanitarian convoys with essential products.
