Sevastopol, November 17 (PolitNavigator, Alexander Kononov) - Next week the government of Sevastopol and the Russian Ministry of Defense will sign an agreement on the joint use of Belbek airport.

This was stated by the city governor Sergei Menyailo. According to him, cooperation on this issue with the military department will allow the airport to start operating in full, including for civilian flights.

“Next week a representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense is coming to Sevastopol, with whom we will resolve this issue. We are talking about concluding an agreement and dividing powers in order to launch Belbek next year not only for charter flights, but on an ongoing basis,” Menyailo said.

He said plans to create his own airline remain in place.

Let us recall that on October 28, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree on basing aircraft of the state unitary enterprise Sevastopol Airport at the Belbek airfield.
