“There will be no default this year – thanks to restructuring, i.e. default 2015. Not every year there is a default, after all!

In 2017 we have small payments. According to the National Bank of Ukraine, from October 1, 2016 to October 1, 2017, payments on public debts amounted to only $1 billion 173 million. Ukraine is able to pay such debts, taking into account the fact that currently gold and foreign exchange reserves are about $15,5 billion.

Therefore, we can unequivocally say that in 2017 there will be no default of Ukraine as a state,” the expert said.
