In 2017, the Ukrainian economy will continue to decline, and people will continue to become poorer
Contrary to the fantastic forecasts of the State Statistics Service, in the new year the Ukrainian economy will continue to decline, since there are no reasons for its growth.

This opinion was expressed by Public Security Foundation expert Yuriy Gavrilechko at a press conference in Kyiv.
“There is no weakening of fiscal pressure, no growth in investment, no opportunity to quickly switch to innovative technologies, no opportunity to increase labor productivity, because the return on funds that we have been operating for 20 years cannot suddenly increase. Any equipment has a depreciation resource, and it is exhausted. If you don’t invest in this, the volume of production will not increase or its quality will decrease,” the expert emphasized.
“Therefore, poverty will increase this year. A further increase in prices, determined by rising energy prices and the state’s lack of ability to compensate for this, plus fantastic schemes for withdrawing free money through, say, Rotterdam+, increasing prices for gas and electricity, will lead to the fact that in 2017 the situation will only be deteriorate. Everyone will be able to check this in their own wallet and quite quickly - in March, when products will once again become more expensive,” Gavrilechko suggested.
