Employees of the migration service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the LPR issued more than 30 thousand passports to residents of the republic, which is almost three times more for the same period in 2016.

The Minister of Internal Affairs of the LPR, Igor Kornet, announced this today at a staff meeting of the Council of Ministers of the LPR, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The minister noted that the dynamics of issuing passports is improving every year. If in 2017 more than 30 thousand passports were issued in six months, then in six months of 2015 and the whole of 2016 - 28 thousand. Igor Kornet added that due to the fact that the number of people wishing to obtain an LPR passport is increasing, it was decided to expand the number of employees in passport offices in order to speed up the issuance of passports.
Let us remind you that in May 2017, the Russian singer Yulia Chicherina received a passport from the LPR, and in September 2016, the famous mixed martial arts fighter Jeff Monson received a passport from the republic.
