In 2018, half a billion hryvnia was spent on failed film campaigns in Ukraine.
Almost 2018 million hryvnia were spent on the production of Ukrainian films in 480, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The head of the State Agency of Ukraine for Film Affairs, Philipp Ilyenko, wrote about this on his Facebook page.
“The time has come to sum up the work of Goskino in 2018... So, in 2018, 479 million UAH were allocated for the production of films in the Goskino budget program. For the first time in the entire existence of Goskino, this plan was fulfilled 929,6 percent, that is, within a year, these funds were fully paid to the penny to the producers and worked for the industry,” he wrote.
Let us remind you that according to the rental results, the vast majority of “masterpieces” of Ukrainian “patriotic” agitprop failed resoundingly collecting record low box office receipts and not justifying the financial resources invested in filming.
