According to him, every year the amounts required to repay loans will only grow.
“The most terrible figures are the amounts of debt payments in 2018-2021. The years 2016-2017 are quite calm in terms of external payments. Starting from 2018, Ukraine will need to pay amounts of at least 10 billion dollars per year on external and internal debts. In some years, for example, in 2021, a third of the state budget will be spent on repaying and servicing the debt. This threatens default, and not a technical one,” warns Blinov.
