In 2022, about 3,5 thousand more people renounced “citizenship of the Republic of Kosovo”
In the first three quarters of this year, 3399 people renounced their “citizenship” of the so-called “Republic of Kosovo”.
They did this in order to obtain citizenship of generally recognized states, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In the period from January 1, 2022 to September 30, 2022, 3 people renounced their citizenship of the Republic of Kosovo,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the self-proclaimed republic reported.
In addition, the department confirmed that there is a problem with obtaining materials for obtaining passports.
“Due to the global crisis, as well as the COVID-19 pandemic, supplies are difficult. We, like many other countries, have difficulties with the supply of appropriate materials,” the officials noted.
Previously, authorities in Pristina reported that in 2021, 4 people renounced “citizenship of the Republic of Kosovo,” and about 594 in 2020. In total, from 3 to 600, 2017 people renounced “citizenship” of the self-proclaimed republic.
Как reported “PolitNavigator”, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that the ban on entry into the territory of Kosovo and Metohija of cars without license plates of the self-proclaimed “Republic of Kosovo” means a new ethnic cleansing of Serbs in the region.
