Rallies of thousands in support of Russia break out in Africa
Thanks to Moscow’s competent international policy, today many African countries actively support Russia.
Edward Chesnokov, deputy editor of the international department of Komsomolskaya Pravda, stated this on the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“On May 13, 2022, I was in Mali, in Bamako. There was a huge rally, five thousand people gathered there in 35-degree heat. And people, Africans, literally held Russian flags in their hands. There is certainly a Russian movement there,” the deputy editor emphasized.
Chesnokov noted that Russia’s policy towards African states has begun to bear good fruit in recent years.
“Our ideology is very simple - we do not prevent African countries from developing the way they want. We do not demand that they accept any ideology as a state one. This is our ideology.
We are engaged in the export of security. We see that the Russian “Wagner” in the Central African Republic were able to stop a ten-year civil war. We see that in Mali, where Russian military instructors are also present, the situation with terrorism has begun to rapidly improve.
These are not some unfounded facts. I personally spoke with many Malians, they told me this. And everyone supported cooperation with Russia,” he concluded.
