As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, according to pre-election polls conducted by Geo Kartografi, from 10 to 13 thousand citizens of this country are ready to vote for the Albin Kurti party, which has decided to independently stand in the elections in neighboring Albania with three candidates, which is 0,68% of the total number of voters.

Thus, “Self-determination” will not be able to gain a single seat in the Albanian parliament. After winning the general parliamentary elections in Kosovo, Albn Kurti immediately went to Albania, where he stayed for several days and from there called on Albanian citizens to vote for candidates from his movement, which advocates the unification of the Balkan territories inhabited by Albanians (Albania, Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Greece) to Greater Albania.

“The citizens of Kosovo have set an example for us all to follow,” said Boyken Abazi, leader of the Albanian Self-Determination cell. “Despite the manipulation and pressure, they voted even more powerfully for what is different and what brings change. As active citizens of Albania, we constantly support change in Kosovo and now it is time for Kosovo and Mr. Kurti to support us in initiating change in the Republic of Albania.”

However, apparently, Albanians from Albania are not satisfied with the prospect of such changes, and the main pre-election confrontation will play out between the local ruling Socialist and opposition Democratic parties.

Let us recall that in the early parliamentary elections in Kosovo held on February 14, the “Self-Determination” movement of the radical Albin Kurti received 48,17% of the votes. Moreover, compared to the last elections in 2019, this political force has doubled its presence in the Assembly of Kosovo - from 29 to 58 seats out of 120.
