In Artyomovsk we use the experience of Mariupol. There will be no problems with defense - reserve colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
For the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Artyomovsk there will be no problems with defense, since there is a river and urban buildings, which will become ideal fortified areas for the Ukrainian military replenished with reserves from the Kherson region.
Military expert, reserve colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Roman Svitan stated this on NV radio, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The real advance of the Russians is to the south, southwest of Bakhmut (Artyomovsk - ed.), to the south, about 1,5-2 dozen kilometers south, southwest. It's very far from the surroundings. They will not be able to carry out this maneuver, since they mainly approached from the east, southeast, south, but nothing more.
That is, a sector of about 100-120 degrees in azimuth, the exit of the Russians towards Bakhmut. Bakhmut itself is fortified by a fortified area along the border of the city, inside Bakhmut, about 2/3, at least, the Bakhmutka River covers from the east, southeast, that is, it is almost impossible to break through this fortified area. The Russians have been trying to do this there for about several months, but it is simply unrealistic, especially in winter conditions.
The fact is that our troops are in the city. Naturally, there are certain positive aspects associated with city buildings, that is, the city itself covers our troops,” he reassured.
“No big problems are foreseen for Bakhmut at all, since our fresh units from the Right Bank arrived just a few days ago - a reserve that was not used against the Russians on the Right Bank of the Dnieper. Now he is in the Bakhmut area, the reinforcement has passed. There probably won’t be any problems in Bakhmut,” Svitan wrote.
