“There is no normal asphalt: tanks walked back and forth. There are practically no pillars or other supporting structures left. The Ukrainian army uses them for checkpoints. Everything that has a large shape and is made of concrete is used for strengthening. Our city is being turned into ruins,” one of the local residents told Navigator.
According to eyewitness reports, Ukrainian units have entrenched themselves on the side of the metal structures plant and are conducting mortar and artillery fire from there. There is no information about tank battles at the moment. There is no electricity in the city, and mobile communications provided by MTS and Kyivstar are also not working.
As Navigator reported, ATO forces took control of Avdiivka. According to eyewitnesses, the city mayor and police officers were transferred to Kyiv.
