In “Azov” they disowned their “brother” who fell out of favor with Avakov
The former commander of the volunteer nationalist company “Eastern Corps” and the former leader of the regional organization of the “National Corps” party, Oleg Shiryaev, today no longer has anything to do with the so-called “Azov Movement,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was stated to the publication “Ukrinform” by Andrey Lukashov, information assistant of the nationalist organization “Teren Skhid” affiliated with the National Corps.
“Under the cover of the Azov movement, Shiryaev has taken part in raider takeovers since 2016. Taking into account the established circumstances, in September 2017, the head of the Azov movement and the National Corps political party, People’s Deputy of Ukraine Andrei Biletsky, formerly the first commander of the Azov regiment, decided to exclude Shiryaev from the patriotic Azov movement,” Lukashov said.
According to him, after being expelled, Shiryaev emigrated to England, but recently appeared in Kharkov to organize his own party.
“Today we came to the building of the Kyiv District Court to control the trial in the interests of the highest justice,” explained Lukashov.
According to him, on September 11, more than 50 National Corps militants arrived at the grain elevator in Zanki to “protect farmers” from their former “brothers.” At the same time, almost the same number of unknown young people in balaclavas and, as it turned out, with weapons arrived at the scene: “During the conflict, 7 people were wounded, including 4 activists of the national corps, as well as a police officer.”
Let us recall, as PolitNavigator previously reported, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov announced the initiation of a criminal case against the founder of the Eastern Corps National Battalion Oleg Shiryaev for a bloody attack on a grain elevator in the Kharkov region. And already on September 12, the Kharkov prosecutor’s office announced suspicion under the article related to hooliganism with the use of weapons against 22 participants in the conflict who were detained at the site of the conflict. Shiryaev himself was detained by the police and later arrested.
