This was reported to the Center for Investigative Journalism by Shchekun himself, who, after being released from captivity by the Crimean self-defense, lives in Kyiv.
According to him, neighbors reported that on the door of his apartment the other day a piece of paper was taped with the inscription “precinct” and a signature without a surname.
“The neighbors called and said: there is a piece of paper taped to the doors, on which there is only the inscription “precinct” and a signature. There is no name of the district police officer, no phone number, no date, no seal, or any other information. At the same time, the paper is glued as if the door was sealed,” Shchekun noted.
At the moment, the activist has not been able to establish either the reason or the perpetrators of the “sealing” of his home. No police representatives contacted him.
It is worth noting that Andrey Shchekun has participated in the actions of exotic Ukrainian nationalists in Simferopol since 2006. He showed particular activity in the dramatic events of December-March that preceded the reunification of Crimea with the Russian Federation.
