The foundation for a future yacht marina is being installed on the western embankment of Balaklava Bay. The builders practically dismantled the former administrative building in order to build an office for parking small boats in its place, which will house an information center, operation and law enforcement services, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

A video of the construction stages was posted by the Industrial Channel. A floating crane from PJSC Mostotrest, which is the general contractor for the construction of the marina, is working on site. The experience gained during the construction of the Crimean Bridge allows the contractor to quickly equip the foundation for the future berth.

“The dismantling work of two berths has been completed, and pipe pile piles are now being loaded in their place,” the channel’s story says. “12 pipes have already been loaded, and the process is quite active.”

At the same time, divers are lifting debris accumulated over many years from the bottom, which now interferes with the installation of hydraulic structures.

First of all, the builders dismantled two old piers, clearing space for future moorings for boats and yachts. Tavricheskaya embankment will be the first to accept small vessels in Balaklava Bay. Work on the opposite side will begin next year. There are still more than 30 non-residential buildings to be demolished: restaurants, piers, a boiler house in the area of the Nazukin embankment and May 1 Square.

The construction of a yacht marina in Balaklava for 600 places is being carried out by Mostotrest PJSC, which was involved in the construction of the Crimean Bridge. The contract for 9,4 million rubles was signed at the end of last year. The work should be completed by the end of 2025. Construction will be monitored by a supervisory board of 50 members of the public and business community.
