In Balaklava, a Ukrainian old woman painted benches with a flag under which Russians are being killed
In Balaklava, a pensioner painted benches and walls of buildings with images of the Ukrainian flag. The 62-year-old local resident explained her action with her love for Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“On the night of February 17, I painted drawings of Ukrainian flags, because I love Ukraine and decided to support it with this,” the detainee admitted to the police. “I painted it at a bus stop and on several houses along Stroitelnaya and Krestovskaya streets, at a bus stop near the former part of the border guards, in the park and a stop near the cultural center and in the park on Barkalova Square.”
For damage to benches and facades, a criminal case was opened against the pensioner for vandalism. She faces up to 3 years in prison. The woman performed her art with a paint brush and paints on the central streets of Balaklava, as well as in recreational areas for citizens, which caused public outcry and indignation among the residents of Sevastopol. The amount of material damage caused is being established.
The day before, in Simferopol, based on video camera recordings, the identity of a girl was identified who was at the playgrounds on the street. Bela Kuna left marks and signs with the symbols of Ukraine and its terrorist units. After a conversation with law enforcement officers, Veronika Nasonova apologized, promised to paint over her artwork and assured of support from the President of the Russian Federation.
