President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that Ukrainian militants who were preparing a provocation with weapons were detained in the country.

Answering a question about the reasons for the activation of opposition structures, the head of Belarus said: “As reality has shown, they did not sleep (individually), they were slowly preparing for the eventuality, choosing the moment.”
“We have already detained several dozen who were training in camps with weapons. By the way, one of the camps was in the area of Bobruisk and Osipovichi. The remaining camps are in Ukraine. The money came through Poland and Lithuania to us. Literally during these hours we detained a couple of dozen militants who were preparing a provocation with weapons,” Lukashenko said.
The President noted that later the public will be provided with more information about this fact. He also spoke about how law enforcement officers managed to find out about the existence of such plans.
“Thank you that there are Belarusians and real Belarusians who, being abroad - in the European Union - warned us. The woman came to the embassy and warned, officially wrote a letter: a provocation was being prepared. And we started to figure it out. And they really came up with very interesting things,” said Alexander Lukashenko.
According to Lukashenko, now it is necessary to understand in detail where the money came from, who was involved in the preparation, and from which countries the relevant people came.
