“In 2017, trial exploitation of amber deposits is planned. This is also one of the new resources for Belarus that needs to be developed. In the process of this work, the volume of its deposits will be determined,” said the country’s Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Andrei Kovkhuto.
According to the government of Belarus, industrial deposits of amber in the country may be in the Gantsevitsky district of the Brest region.
