The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported a new fire - this time at an ammunition depot. Before this, city residents heard sounds similar to explosions.
“I just contacted the head of the Golovinsky rural settlement, Denis Zolotukhin. In the area of the village of Staraya Nelidovka, according to preliminary information, an ammunition depot is on fire. There were no destructions of residential buildings or houses. There were no casualties among the civilian population,” Gladkov said.
He clarified that he woke up from sounds similar to explosions.
“At approximately 3:35 I woke up from a loud sound like an explosion... While I was writing this message, three more explosions were heard,” the governor said.
