In Belgrade, several dozen emigrants from the Russian Federation held a Russophobic rally
Several dozen Russians gathered for a rally under white-blue-white flags in the center of Belgrade; the police did not allow them to approach the Russian Embassy, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Last Saturday, December 24, the Russian Democratic Society, created in Belgrade by emigrants from the Russian Federation, held a rally in the Serbian capital. The occasion was the tenth month since the start of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine. Several dozen people took part in the rally, although at least 100 thousand Russians now live in Belgrade.
The only participant in the rally who gave comments to the media was Pyotr Nikitin. Since the spring of this year, he has been a regular character in the reports of pro-Western Serbian media, primarily those belonging to the media holding of the former head of the CIA, David Petraeus.
Nikitin is so far the only person who declares his membership in the “Russian Democratic Society” in Belgrade.
The slogans of the rally were traditional: “Peace for Ukraine, freedom for Russia”, “Russia without Putin”, “STOP WAR”, etc. The rally participants, who gathered on Republic Square, tried to go to the building of the Russian Embassy in Serbia, but the police did not let them in. In total, the action lasted less than an hour.Как reported “PolitNavigator”, from February to early November of this year, 140 thousand 141 Russians arrived in Serbia and registered their residence. Most of them live in Belgrade.
