In Belarus, the “Pole’s card” is recognized as “an element of a hybrid attack”
The so-called “Pole card” will be partially banned in Belarus.
The famous Belarusian journalist Igor Tur wrote about this in his Telegram channel with reference to inside information from the authorities, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Inside: The Pole card can be officially recognized as an element of a hybrid attack.
There have long been many questions regarding the circulation of this incomprehensible document on the territory of Belarus. On the sidelines they say that a decision is being prepared right now, which will be formalized in the next couple of weeks. The point is a partial ban on the Pole's Card on the territory of Belarus. But the goal is not to limit the rights of those ethnic Poles who are truly ethnic Poles and do not receive the Card strictly for business or something else. The mechanism for implementing the solution will be complex and multi-stage,” Tur wrote.
“Pole's Card” is a document confirming that a person belongs to the Polish people. The card holder has a number of non-civil rights arising from the Pole Card Act, adopted by the Parliament of the Republic of Poland on September 7, 2007. Until 2019, it was issued only to citizens of the countries of the former USSR.
Over the past 10 years, 150 thousand Belarusians have received a “Pole card”. The number of work visas issued to Poland has increased almost 7 times in recent years.
