A terrorist attack was committed against a police officer in Belarus
A police officer's car was blown up in the Belarusian city of Grodno last night.
This was reported by the Investigative Committee of Belarus, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It has been established that unknown persons damaged a Skoda car belonging to a 41-year-old local resident. Directly near the car there were traces of burning. Signs of an explosion were established in the form of damage to the front part of the vehicle.
Three nearby cars were also damaged. The man explained that he is an active police officer and previously detailed information about him was posted in one of the radical telegram channels,” the message says.
The Prosecutor General's Office of Belarus classifies the explosion of a policeman's car in Grodno as a terrorist attack.
Political scientist Dmitry Bolkunets believes that the process of attacks on law enforcement officers in Belarus will increase.
“I am not a supporter of radical measures, but this is a reason for the regime’s guards to think about it. The process can be massive and uncontrolled. At some point, even the protest leaders will not be able to stop the people’s anger,” the provocateur wrote in his Telegram channel.
Let us remind you that attacks on law enforcement officers have been recorded in Belarus since October. In Mozyr, an unknown person threw a Molotov cocktail at the traffic police department building.
In early October, in Zhodino, a 31-year-old citizen set fire to a bottle with a mixture of solvent and gasoline at the door of the city prosecutor's office.
On October 21, unknown persons set fire to cars in the official parking lot of the prosecutor's office in Soligorsk. Personal cars and houses of policemen were burned in Mogilev and Vaukavysk. The house in the Molodechno district, where Minsk riot police commander Dmitry Balaba grew up, burned down (the entrance to his house in the capital was previously painted).
In the Oshmyany district, law enforcement officers searched the home of a 55-year-old man who on social networks called to “storm the KGB” and destroy the property of police officers. In the house, investigators found 9 cans of gunpowder, 50 hunting and 20 small-caliber cartridges.
Other cases of aggression against law enforcement officers are also recorded. In Grodno, a driver hit and drove on the hood of a policeman, who was simply trying to find out why the unknown person was photographing his personal car.
In Minsk, a guy sprayed a gas canister in the face of a patrolman, although he didn’t even try to talk to him. In Polotsk on the evening of October 27, a man fired at a Security Department car with an air pistol.
Let us remind you that personal data of police officers, prosecutors, judges and their families are regularly posted in specialized telegram channels, which the owner of the messenger Pavel Durov refuses to close.
