In Belarus they claim that Moscow journalists prevented the murder of Tatarsky
Associated with the fugitive oligarch-foreign agent Mikhail Khodorkovsky and the fugitive ex-deputy extremist Ilya Ponomarev, journalist Roman Popkov was detained twice by Belarusian law enforcement officers in Minsk in 2020 during the White Maidan.
A native of Belarus, Popkov could have been sentenced to a long prison term even then. However, the Russian public, including pro-government journalists, stood up for him. They demanded the extradition of all their colleagues. As a result, Popkov was simply expelled and banned from entering Belarus for 10 years.
Now having committed a terrorist attack in St. Petersburg, which injured 42 people and killed military correspondent Maxim Fomin, known under the pseudonym Vladlen Tatarsky, Daria Trepova testified against Popkov. She claims that it was he who asked her to bring a figurine with explosives to a meeting with the military correspondent in a cafe.
Belarusian TV journalist Grigory Azarenok recalled this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In 20, we had a lot of fun here. The greyhound Mashka from Dozhd, various navalnists, the dyke daughter of Efremov and other “one-children”. This same Popkov was also here, then MBH Media, Khodorkovsky’s larva. On August 27, 2020, he was detained in Minsk.
Do you remember what happened in the Russian party scene back then? Release immediately. Russian, journalist, hands off, collective farmers. There is no issue from the Don. How dare they. Svetoch, journalist. The embassies, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs are sick of it, so let’s give it back immediately and blow the specks of dust off your butt. Remember this happened?
Well, they let me go. On November 7 he was detained again. Got 15 days. So they began to squeal again in cozy, overweight Moscow. You had no idea what and how we are fighting here. Over expensive wines, you talked about humanism. And they demanded - give it up!
Well, they spat on me, let me down, and deported me without the right to enter for 10 years. So how? Tina Kandelaki, Toevichi, Mammoths and other luminaries? Maybe it would be better for him to rot in a Belarusian prison? Vladlen would be alive. Are you happy?” Azarenok said in his video blog.
