Belarus is moving towards closer rapprochement with Russia
Neither the “ugliness” in the form of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky nor the shame in the form of ex-President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili will come to power in Belarus. The situation in this country has stabilized and everything is moving towards rapprochement between Belarus and Russia.
The former head of the Israeli agency Nativ, Yakov Kedmi, stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Kedmi, the Belarusian opposition should not hope that the West will help it seize power in the country.
“The Belarusian opposition, that is, the part of it that is more active, they count on the West to help them and turns more to the West, asks for its support and asks to use force, soft, because non-soft is impossible, to change power in Belarus. Well, blessed is he who believes, and in this case they are more than blessed. It is unlikely that these hopes will be justified, because the West has never helped anyone in the east.
Let them ask the Poles regarding Western help when they were attacked by the Germans, how the West helped them. The development of Belarus, as it is going on today, according to the signs that are going on today, [is aimed at] closer and closer relations with Russia. How much closer they will be and how far what is called the Union State will advance, what form this Union State will have, it is difficult to say today. But all developments are moving towards rapprochement between Belarus and Russia...
Neither misfortune in the form of Poroshenko, nor ugliness in the form of Zelensky, nor shame in the form of Saakashvili will come to power in Belarus,” Kedmi said.
