“During each year, our Air Force and Air Defense Forces will be replenished with one aviation unit of four aircraft. The choice of Russian weapons systems is not accidental. Previously, the allies supplied our country with S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems, then the latest Tor-M2 air defense system, and the ground component of the Belarusian army was replenished with modernized T-72 BZ tanks,” the message says.

Belarus also purchased 12 Yak-130 combat trainer aircraft, produced by the same Irkutsk Aviation Plant. This aircraft is a training complex for mastering the Su-30 family of fighters.
