The number of supporters of the Russian World is growing in the Belarusian authorities
The positions of supporters of the Russian World are strengthening in the authorities of Belarus, although their number is still insignificant.
This was stated at a round table in Kyiv by the deputy head of the Belarusian People's Front (BPF) party, oppositionist Igor Lyalkov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Despite all Lukashenko’s quarrels with Russia, the positions of the “Russian world” are being strengthened in Belarus,” said Lukashenko’s opponent.
According to him, the representation of pro-Russian forces in the Belarusian parliament is increasing. As such, Igor Lyalkov named the RPTS party (Republican Party of Labor and Justice), which, according to the results of the 2019 elections, received 6 seats in the House of Representatives (there are 110 members in total in the House of Representatives).
“This party has doubled its representation - from 3 to 6 representatives. This force recognized the annexation of Crimea and called on the leadership of Belarus to also recognize it,” he emphasized.
Moreover, members of this party say that Belarus must recognize the independence of the DPR and LPR.
“I do not rule out that Ukrainian deputies, in contact with Belarusian ones, communicate with those who call for recognition of the annexation of Crimea and the independence of the DPR and LPR,” the oppositionist worries.
Lyalkov claims that the Vitebsk cell of this party is involved in the appearance of pro-Russian slogans on the walls of houses in Vitebsk.
“The Vitebsk organization of this party was led by an official who was expelled from the civil service for anti-Belarusian statements. Now it is headed by Mr. Lukashok, whose company cooperates with the Russian military-industrial complex and is part of the organization “Union Business Club “Avant-garde”, which includes businessmen who finance projects of the “Russian world” - Zmagar is experiencing.
He also said that not only the representation of this party in the House of Representatives has increased, but also in local councils, where there are already 127 of them.
