The SBU is preparing to welcome Yanukovych in Berdyansk
Berdyansk, April 19 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – Security measures have been strengthened in Berdyansk, as information has emerged that Viktor Yanukovych may try to return to Ukraine through this coastal city.

Several sources reported this scenario, TSN reports. Now SBU and military intelligence groups are working in Berdyansk, all entrances and approaches to the city are blocked by checkpoints: cars are undergoing a thorough inspection.
Maidan activists are on duty in the city center, together with law enforcement agencies, guarding the buildings of the mayor's office, the city police department and the military registration and enlistment office.
Unconfirmed information appeared in the media that last night the air defense brigade was given the command to remove surveillance from the airspace. Local self-defense officials assume that in this way the airport was prepared for Yanukovych’s landing.
Immediately after the message, self-defense forces blocked the only runway of the airport with concrete structures. The mayor's office says that there are no dispatchers or navigation equipment at the airport, so if someone decides to land, they will have to do it “blindly.”
According to unofficial information, the heads of the SBU arrived in Berdyansk at night. One of the air defense unit commanders was detained. The intelligence services do not comment on the information.
Let us recall, as Navigator reported, political scientists and politicians have repeatedly expressed the opinion that Viktor Yanukovych may try to return to Ukraine or to the territory of the self-proclaimed “Donetsk People’s Republic”.
