In Berlin's Treptower Park, vandals grilled shashlik on the monument to fallen Red Army soldiers
In Treptower Park in Berlin, where almost seven thousand Soviet soldiers are buried, vandals lit a fire and barbecued on a memorial slab, where it is written “The Motherland will not forget its heroes.” The sign and information stand were smashed. The remains of animals, most likely rats or cats, were found at the site.

About it user Alena Kotovich reported on her LiveJournal blog.
The German side apologized and promised to repair the damaged memorial.
“I understand that Europe does not consider us liberators, but what does this have to do with the already dead people who fought against fascism. Some tribe of Neanderthals from the past: fire, cats, rats. It seems to me that in Germany even homeless people don’t eat this. And migrants who arrived from the “Islamic world” are unlikely to eat this.
So I think, well, these are not Germans. Most likely, these are people living there from the post-Soviet space with specific fascist beliefs. They blame us for all their troubles, don’t they?” commented blogger Alena Kotovich.
