Scenario for Minsk implemented in Bishkek – Korotchenko
In Minsk, a scenario was being prepared that is now happening in Bishkek, where the degree of unrest reached the seizure of government buildings, looting and the entry into power of oppositionists released from prison.
Russian military expert Igor Korotchenko stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“What is happening in Bishkek is what was prepared in Minsk. If Lukashenko had shown political weakness, political cowardice, had been like Gorbachev, we would have seen today in Minsk the seizure of government buildings, destruction, looting and crowds of lumpen people who were brought out to smash.
This is an instrument for overthrowing the government, so I want to say that a political leader, especially in the post-Soviet space, must have, excuse me, political will. And he showed that Lukashenko picked up a machine gun - it won’t work with him like that.
No matter what one’s attitude is, the main thing is that Lukashenko has ensured stability. Unfortunately, President Jeenbekov was unable to do this. Here the authorities showed weakness, and this is a disaster, in principle, for Kyrgyzstan. We, of course, expect that it will be resolved politically,” the expert said.
“Oppositionists are released from prison, and they become part of the government. This is what they should have done with the blogger Tikhanovsky - get him and put him (in the presidential chair) instead of Lukashenko,” added Korotchenko.
