One of the countries will launch a nuclear strike in the coming years - political commentator
Russia's closest neighbors should be grateful for their geographic location because they are not threatened by tactical nuclear weapons from Russia, although some of them deserve it.
Russian political commentator Irina Alksnis stated this on the YouTube channel “Politwera,” PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I am confident that in the coming years we will witness the use of tactical nuclear weapons in one of the conflicts in the world, I have no doubt that it will happen. Where it will be is the second question. Will it be in the Indo-Pakistani conflict, in the Middle East, there will be a mess with Israel somewhere, or in the Asia-Pacific region with the participation of China, or we are somewhere. But I am sure, I have no doubt that this will be applied.
Another thing is that I believe that Russia will wait until the last minute. That is, the least threat threatens our closest neighbors. With those who are not closest, there are options. Nuclear weapons at your fingertips are a blow to your own ecology. Why do we need it?! And Poland is next to Belarus. Why do we spoil Belarus like that?! We have big plans together,” the expert noted.
“From this point of view, our closest neighbors have something to be grateful to Russia for. Some Kinzhal strikes cannot be avoided, but they are not threatened by tactical nuclear weapons from Russia. And in modern times, such a prospect is worth a lot,” added Alksnis.
