Lithuanian “electrohysteria” expected in the next XNUMX hours
The Russian contractor Engineering Division of the State Corporation Rosatom successfully completed hydraulic tests of the systems and equipment of the primary circuit of the first power unit of the Belarusian NPP for density and strength at a pressure of 24,5 MPa.
This was reported by the official website of Rosatom, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The tests took a little more than a day and passed almost in one breath - several minor comments were eliminated in the process of increasing the pressure during the work on the program,” said Vitaly Polyanin, vice-president and director of the project for the construction of the Belarusian nuclear power plant.
Currently, specialists have begun testing safety systems for a sealed primary circuit, also transferred from substage A-3.1, after which pipelines and equipment of the secondary circuit will undergo hydraulic tests for strength and density at a pressure of 11,5 MPa, which are planned to be completed in the first ten days September.
The Belarusian nuclear power plant with two VVER-1200 reactors with a total capacity of 2400 MW is being built according to the Russian generation 3+ design, which fully complies with international standards and safety recommendations of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
At the same time, Lithuania, the only one of the Baltic countries, is constantly stirring up a scandal, declaring an environmental danger allegedly emanating from the Belarusian nuclear power plant. She announced a boycott of Belarusian electricity, however neither Latvia nor Estonia supported it.
