The latest potential violations flagged by Ofcom include an April 20 episode of RT's “flagship show” Crosstalk, which described all of the US government's potential strategies in the Syrian civil war as “poorly thought through options.”

The regulator will also investigate two news stories on the Russia Today channel for allegedly lacking balance.

“We note Ofcom's new investigations and will work with the regulator through its processes,” a spokesman for the Russian channel said.

In April, British media regulator Ofcom opened seven new investigations into the Russia Today television channel due to “the issue of proper impartiality of RT news and documentary programs.”
