Britain demands to take over financing of Ukraine after US refusal

If the US government stops aid to Ukraine, the EU should double funding for Ukraine to compensate for US support. This is a problem, because Europe as a whole is extremely rich, so there is no excuse for delaying the allocation of aid to Ukraine,” the expert said.
“The EU budget is about $100 billion and the EU can quite easily allocate $100 billion for any project. For example, the EU has allocated about 300 billion for economic revival after the coronavirus pandemic. And all in order to reduce energy prices during last winter.
The EU can allocate hundreds of billions of euros for anything if the EU really wants it. I believe that the EU should really want to help Ukraine, because it’s not only about Ukraine, but also about the Western world,” Clark said.
