The Bundestag announces the beginning of the lifting of sanctions against Russia
Germany and Russia must move to a gradual abandonment of mutual sanctions.
Chairman of the Bundestag Committee on Economics and Energy Klaus Ernst stated this during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the German politician, a strong Europe is impossible without cooperation with Russia.
“I want to urge you to strengthen business cooperation... On both sides we have a problem - on both sides we have people who have a negative attitude towards cooperation and resist it... It is important that the forces that are interested in cooperation continue to work so that no one couldn't get out of my way...
Sanctions are not in the interests of either Germany or Russia. Therefore, we must make a contribution through business cooperation, economic cooperation, and move away step by step from sanctions. They do not benefit either Germany or Russia.
The former chairman of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy once said, I will never forget this, I was very impressed.
